How does the scratch card system work?
Your school creates scratch card batches for each term. Parents can purchase cards online via Paystack, or buy printed cards at the school counter. Each card has a unique PIN that unlocks that term's report card. Revenue is automatically split between your school's Paystack subaccount and the platform.
How long is the free trial, and what's included?
The free trial covers one full term on the Growth plan — no credit card required. You get access to every feature: report cards, parent and student portals, fees management, scratch cards, timetable builder, white-label app, and your AI-generated school website. At the end of the trial term, you can choose to continue on any paid plan.
How does the auto-pay fee subscription work?
Parents can save a card to their profile and subscribe to a fee plan. When a fee's due date arrives, the system automatically charges the saved card via Paystack and immediately issues a receipt. Parents receive a notification confirming the payment. They can cancel the subscription at any time from the parent portal.
Do I really get a school website for free?
Yes — every school on any plan gets a fully-built, AI-generated public website at no extra cost. It goes live at yourschool.schoolsio.cloud the moment you sign up. The site includes a homepage, about page, news/blog, admissions page, gallery, events, and contact information. Custom domains are supported on Growth and Enterprise plans.
What is included in the file storage?
Every school gets 15 GB of Google Drive-powered cloud storage at no cost. This can be used for uploading school documents, images, student submissions, staff files, and media for the school website. Schools that need more space can upgrade to a 100 GB plan. All files are organised by class, term, and role — and access is permission-controlled.
Can parents and students log in?
Yes. You control this per school in Settings. When enabled, parents can view their child's report cards, pay fees, manage auto-pay, and receive notifications. Students can view their own results, timetable, profile details, and uploaded class materials.
What does "white-label" mean exactly?
White-label means the entire product — the mobile app, the student and parent portal, fee receipts, email notifications, and the school website — is fully branded as your school, not Schoolsio. Your school name, logo, colors, and domain are used everywhere. The app is published on the App Store and Google Play under your school's name. Users interacting with the product will never see the Schoolsio brand unless you choose to display it.
How does promotion (end of year) work?
At year-end, you run the promotion engine. It reads cumulative report cards, matches students to their next class arm by name, handles cross-section transitions, flags students who need review, and creates enrollment records for the new year. You can require manual approval for cross-section moves.
Is my school's data secure?
All data is stored per-school and per-agency. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms. Sessions are token-based with expiry. Your Paystack subaccount credentials are stored encrypted. Files are stored on Google's infrastructure. We do not share school data with any third parties.
